Description:

What Goes On is really a rock'n'roll band but somehow this collection of material from over a decade is more poppy, "subcontinental", or on occasion rather haunting.

21 MP3 Songs
POP: Folky Pop, ROCK: Folk Rock

Details:
What Goes On Originals is a collection of songs from over a decade throughout the 1990s and just into the solemn years of the 2000s. Most songs were written by Mike Smith, and he sings lead on all but two sung tracks. However, several instrumentals worth keeping, most of them improvised, appear here due to their longevity in the band's well-constrained lore. Some songs were produced at home on a 4-track. Others appear more polished and layered. No one ever heard of us in Seattle save our families, loose friends, some Zen-like folks who were very nice to us, boozers and malcontents at the old Rendezvous (probably not like what it is today), and the Feelies (one of our favorite bands), to whom Mike at times mailed some of our songs.
