"N.P.O." is a 'little wrath of God' (KRAKATOA), a 'little hombre' time' ("Tequila Cures"), a 'little Civil War' ("Freedom, Oh Freedom"), a 'little love so fine' ("Hey Mademoiselle")..
7 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Extended Jams, POP: with Live-band Production
Details:
'Welch Williams' "NON-PROPHET ORGANIZATION" was recorded at Harvest Recording Studios in lovely Streetsboro, Ohio, 'a stones throw, as the crow flies' from the Twin Lakes Tavern. There is a long story behind this record and the 'doomed' fiasco of Dog Soldier Society, of which I could talk at great length, but it's sometimes best, 'to let sleeping dogs lie'. So be it.
There are a few changes I would make to this record, in the hopes of attracting more industry interest to the 'sound', but chances are, I'm not really what they're looking for, so I'll leave 'well enough' alone right now, smoke my cigarettes and ponder what really happened on 9/11, along with the rest of the 'skeptics' who believe there is more to the picture than meets the eye.
If you are thinking of buying this record, by all means 'do'. But I will tell you, this is not B. Spears, C. Dion, the Backstreet Boys or Em-n-em. There is no dream of 'pop star' for a day here, or 'fame' for fifteen minutes. If we get lucky, and hit the 'big time', it's probably because the music appeals to those people who don't 'buy' into all the fanfare, 'hoopla', and the 'big machine', anyway.
