Details:
Mark Weierman (pronounced Wire-min) is a Southern Ohio/Northern Kentucky based singer/songwriter.

Mark writes in many styles, but is best known for his work with the eclectic folk group The Ditch Lilies.

Mark's work on The Ditch Lilies eponymous first CD received airplay in the U.S., primarily on NPR affiliated stations, and, unexpectedly, on radio stations in France, Belgium and The Netherlands.

Mark's musical roots spread farther than folk music, however, and he has long wanted to put out a solo CD as a vehicle to bring his rock oriented side out to his audience.

Asked at the start of the project to define the style of music he planned for this solo effort, Mark laughed and called it "Electric Americana".

Owe The Devil is the result of that project.

Featuring some of the finest musicians and singers in the Midwest (Steve "Sigs" Sigsbee, Kevin Eagan, Ron Blankenship and Elaine Diehl, among others), Owe The Devil showcases 10 of Mark's original songs.

Those of you familiar with Mark's work with the folk group The Ditch Lilies will be pleasantly surprised to know that, while Owe The Devil contains three songs that Mark first recorded with that group, they have been rearranged with a rock beat for this solo effort, and combined with seven never before recorded numbers.

Owe the Devil, in fact, contains songs in the Southern Rock, Country Rock, Folk Rock, Roots Rock and Blues genres.

Also pleasantly, thanks to the synthesis of Mark's over-arching songwriting style and Steve Sigsbee's prodigious production talent, it all blends smoothly together into an exciting, enjoyable and thought provoking collection.
