The most exciting rock in the world has been coming out of Tokyo for well over a decade now. Astute followers may have noted a gradual move towards sophistication as original maniacs like Teengenerate and the Registrators slowed down and began to include such un-punk elements as pop, good songwriting, and good production on their records. In this grand tradition we are proud to bring you Warmed Over Band.
Kicking around the Tokyo rock scene in one incarnation or another since 1999 they have finally honed their sound into an original blend of punk-influenced superbly-written rock, culminating in the release of this 7 song CD on the Modernist Recordings.
The album was recorded by Azumi, who has played with the Raydios, Teenegenerate, and Firestarter, as well as recorded the early Registrators stuff.
The Modernist Recordings is the sonic auxiliary to www.themodernist.com, the site that brought you such free and tasteful features as Furniture and Naked People, and "Citizens" (We Love Them For Their Minds So We Want To See More Of Their Bodies).
