Formed in November 2011, Your Future Forecast consists of lead writer/vocalist Derek Blankenship's synth design and lyrics. Writing and recording the entire album in 2 weeks, the band has put together a new sound for the ages. If Tears For Fears and Jimmy Eat World had a baby, it would be named Your Future Forecast. The inspiration from this album comes from the late nights spent in the western part of Los Angeles, Venice Beach. The album is supposed to give you the feeling as if you are the one staring into the night wondering what is out there, where you true love is, where your heart has gone, or what the future holds.

After struggling to find someone to see his vision for this album, Derek decided to take matters in his own hands, recording almost all vocals/instruments himself, as well as engineering the album; while Shane Mack (drums) and Jack Ryan (Bass) came along for the ride in the middle of studio time.

The band plans to begin touring in 2012, as well as releasing their first single and video.
