With strong roots in the blues, having toured internationally with such groups as Mississippi Heat, Aaron Burton, Otis Clay and having appeared at the Chicago Blues Festival, he is also equally comfortable with jazz. His background in jazz has found him performing at a range of events, from the 1984 Olympics to the Long Beach Jazz Festival to venues such as The Old Town School of Folk Music Concert Series in Chicago, and a variety of jazz clubs. The result of his dual focus is a compliment of styles blended well together on this album, reminiscent of such artists as Robben Ford, whose love of both musics creates a sound that both genres can embrace.
