Filming and recording this performance at Full Sail University was exhilarating but absolutely impossible without the initiative, dedication, and plain ole help from some folks. Incredibly - 100 people dedicated themselves to building a mammoth stage complete with lighting rigs and wiring a sound system - arena ready. Additionally, a recording studio - by way of bus - rolled up and parked alongside some camera, jibs, and giant cranes. All of this was organized and orchestrated in just two days time, in the back lot, all for us. We are eternally grateful for the help provided to make this unforgettable night possible and enjoyable for us, our friend, and everyone else! - jj

JACOB JEFFRIES BAND
The last 18 months have been full of exciting things for the Jacob Jeffries Band. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, the band has been cultivating their live circuit in the SE. They also performed showcases at the NAMM Conference for Baldwin Pianos in Anaheim, CA, at BMIâs Leaf Lounge during the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT, and at SXSW for BMIâs Acoustic Brunch and the Red Gorilla Festival in Austin, TX. They were named 2008âs Best Live Band & Best New Release by the Broward-Pam Beach and Miami New Times, and were selected to perform in, and won the Florida Grammy Showcase! Not bad for a four-some who are just starting to forge their path in this competitive world of music.

Jacob Jeffries Band also had a plan to release a series of CDâs. The goal was to present Jacobâs music in a few different settings. The debut recording - Life As An Extra - was a more intimate recording featuring Jacobâs lyrics and voice. The second release â Wonderful â was more electric and featured a full band studio recording. The third release â Waiting for the Piano Movers â is a Live CD recorded at the renowned Full Sail University, one of the premier media arts schools in the world. Jacob Jeffries began playing the piano at the age of five. By ten he was writing original music, and at 17 Warner Chappell offered him a publishing deal. Now 21, Jacob has spent the last year+ recording with Grammy Award-winning producers Sebastian Krys and Dan Warner, playing out live with his band and sharing his music with as many people as possible. Jacob is affiliated with BMI and sponsored by Baldwin Pianos.
Jacob Jeffries Band features Jacob Jeffries on lead vocals and keys, Jimmy Powers on guitar, Brian Lang on bass, and Josh âPapa Bearâ Connolly on drums. Jacob is also an accomplished actor who helped write, produce, and act in original plays and musicals at the Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts in Florida.
