Being working men and very quick to note that if the opportunity came along, we would chuck it all for the chance to pursue our musical passion all day. "It's something where you can really be yourself, and what comes out, comes right from the heart."
Music was a passion as far back as when we would play as young boys. Always dreaming of music as a career. But as life would have its twists and turns we separated through the early mid years. Only to be reunited over 10 years later. Playing live with other musicians would prove to be a turning point for Joe as a musician. "He learned chording and arranging patterns from that experience, and started coming up with his own songs after that." and so came Lou and Troy the two lost friends now reunited.
As our personal careers advanced, music remained a focus always writing new material with thoughts of someday recording a CD. In the beginning, we figured it would be more fitting with our goal as artists, is to create music, that makes people feel good, and takes their mind in a place or a situation where they can relate.
About two years ago, we realized that with advances in technology and growing internet-based options available for marketing independent music, the time had come to put together Widespan. We selected a dozen tracks That Joe had written, recorded them in our home studio and took the cream, sweetened them up, The result is a what you now hear,rich radio sounding productions, but for Widespan, it's just a beginning,
Whether our future includes a record deal,performing,soundtrack scoring, or simply recording self-released CDs for appreciative fans, Widespan will continue to create music from the heart, with the hopes of sharing it with others. "We would like to offer inspiring music that lets you go ahead and reflect on your own. Widespan likes to try and provide music to help you relax, reflect and to touch your soul."
