Biography:
Orenthia Woodson Henlon (aka Winter Coat) was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Winter Coat began her music career at a very early age singing in church. Every Sunday morning she sings Praise and Worship to over 2,500 people.
Winter Coat has performed at various concerts and with many diverse Gospel recording artists. She has been inspired by Jamaican artists such as Bob Marley, Toots & the Maytals, Gregory Issacs, and Marcia Griffith. Her favorite American female artists are Pattie LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, and Tina Turner.
Winter Coat has had the opportunity to travel throughout the world. As she traveled, she appreciated the multi-rhythmic flavors of Afro - centric music. These influences can be heard in this debut performance Long, Long Time.
