Details:
WILTON SAID... is an artist who's not afraid to take risks. With the current musical climate being dominated by an array of simple, unoriginal pop and rock, WILTON SAID... takes his music in the opposite direction with his most personal work, the new released CD "The Butterfly Plague". With it's complex and progressive rock elements, Wilton Said... (lyricist, composer, vox, keys), Guitarist Chris Reid, Bassist Andrew Buntain and Drummer Richard Rizzo, deliver an assault of psychotic mood swings, time changes, and perversely intriguing lyrics. While Wilton refuses to mention whether the lyrical matter is autobiographical, he does state that it's about looking inwards. Wilton states...

"There's so many situations where I've come across people who weren't able to move forward in life because they haven't looked inside, discovered, and acknowledged their own faults or perversions. As a result they keep falling into the same pattern of unhappiness".

Listening to "The Butterfly Plague", one can't help notice the influences which helped shape WILTON SAID...s writing, Kate Bush, Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's Jesus Christ Superstar, Queen, Genesis, Supertramp, Radiohead, Marillion to name a few. While some of these influences may be rooted in the Progressive Rock style, WILTON SAID...'s "The Butterfly Plague" manages to sound fresh, vibrant, edgy and relevant. This is partly due to his band members who, while also having an appreciation for the above artists, manage to incorporate additional edgy influences into the instrumentation such as Garbage, Tool, and Dream Theater.

WILTON SAID..., who holds a Degree in Musical Composition from York University, has been performing in the G.T.A. for the past 8 years promoting three previous recordings. 1997's cassette E.P. "Wilton Said..." and 1999's debut CD "World Up My Ass", and 2001's "Broken" Currently, WILTON SAID... is promoting his new CD "The Butterfly Plague" through live performances and interviews.
