With ethnic roots of Portuguese, Indian, Chinese, African and Venezuelan, William Knight set out to create his debut album, SEE, which equally celebrates his diversity.

From reggae to grunge, folk to 50s pop; William fused a variety of musical genres throughout this album, while keeping a solid rock foundation. His musical influences are equally diverse: John Lennon, Bob Marley, John Denver, Pearl Jam and Cat Stephens, to name a few; all of who inspired the lyrics and music of SEE.

Growing up in the tropical melting pot of Trinidad and Tobago, Knight played acoustic guitar for his church folk choir from the age of 13. He left his musical roots when he joined the U.S Air force in 1992, where he pursued a career in television production. After 7 years in the military, his career continued in television in New York City. However, it was psychic encounter that brought Knight back to his musical roots. In 2000, Knight visited a local psychic who urged him to embrace his musical talents. The psychic said, âYour words will be heard by many and will influence masses.â Though skeptical in the beginning, Knight followed her advice, âPick up a pen and paper, and you will never turn back!â

Today, SEE brings a combination of socially conscious messages coupled with introspective views of his lifeâs experiences.
