The Story behind

"The Ruggles Brothers"

Back in 1892, in the county of Shasta, two brothers, by the names of Charles and John Ruggles', were executed w/o given a trial.. They were snatched from their cells by a lynch mob in the middle of the night, while they were doped up on pain medication, for they had been both recieved gunshot wound in the robbery (read ahead) and their capture. Then they were hung, side by side from a tree (on the Sac River , where the Diestle Horse Bridge now is) for the robbery of a Wells Fargo stage coach, and the killing of Buck Montgomery. However, some believe they were hung out of jealousy. A great deal of women in the county swiflty fell in love w/ the "outlaws", they were brought food, warmclothes, and even proposals of marraige....... The gold from the robbery was never found, and there is no record of their grave sites. (while they were being dragged from their cells, John pleaded w/ them to spare his brother, and in return he would tell where the missing gold was......obviously the people didn't care)

What ever the deal may be, they were wrongfully executed w/o given any kind or a trial...(typical of Shasta County).The "law" @ the time made a statement in a local newspaper that read as follows;

"They (the Ruggles' Brothers) had convicted themselves. The trial would beena mere form, sentence pronounced and punishment meted out. And we say, the peole should not only have taken the Ruggles' Brothers, but also, anyone siding w/ the outlaws, and hung them by their neck from the Court House of Shasta County, untill they were so eternally and evertastling dead that the trimpet of God's ressurecting angel would never awaken them!!!"-the "Law"

WELL.... it's 2006... and we're back m/f's!!!!! W.I.L.L. , aka John Ruggles and Jjamz, aka Charlie Ruggles.... bring you "The Ruggles Brothers" ....the album is available now!!!. The album offers 17 banging tracks, representing the struggle, the huslte, and the muscle of Shasta County. We're puttin 530 on the m/f map...
