Moby Ahab is the third studio album from North Bay instrumental power trio Jason Bodlovich Group. JBG features Bodlovich-guitar, Steve Froberg-bass and James Stafford-drums. Recorded live at legendary Prarie Sun Studios in Cotati, CA., Moby Ahab captures the rawness, energy and excitement of JBG's live shows. Eleven original compositions span genres from rock to blues, funk, swing and more. Several of the songs here are mini tributes inspired by a diverse group of influences including Brian Setzer, Joe Satriani, Led Zep, James Bond and Clint Eastwood. Moby Ahab accomplishes exactly what JBG set out to do: achieving a new level of expression, intensity and soul.
