10 MP3 Songs
BLUES: Funky Blues, BLUES: Rockin' Blues
Details:
When you listen to the music of Larry Wimmer, it's a style and taste, that only becomes clear when you know what his influences are. His music is a reflection of his early "schooling " in pop, rock, soul, funk and blues.
A product of the British invasion and very musical parents, Larry was raised on the Beatles and the Stones, but there were friends and family that played alot of their records around the house, like the early Isley Brothers, Little Richard and Muddy Waters,Otis Redding,James Brown and Jackie Wilson,as well.
From an early age, he understood the roots of melodic pop along with R&B. Since the age of 12, Larry has been writing songs and performing as a music artist, and his style of blue-eyed soul is truly different and unique.
His greatest influences have been great singers like Paul Rodgers, Paul Carrack and Glenn Hughes and Little Willie John as well as guitarists-songwriters like Eric Clapton, John Hiatt and Delbert Mcclinton. Larry's list of stage credits include touring with and opening up for many national acts, such as Cheap Trick, Survivor, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Eddie Money, Lonnie Brooks and KoKo Taylor, Citizen, The Dates and the Life.
