Loud As Rock formed in 2008 emerging from a small town in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. What makes Loud As Rock unique is that it's a family band playing original material with an alternative rock sound. Melodious riffs with vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics embrace a focus on the real life experiences that this young family has gone through. Stories range in topics written by each family member from their processing what one has referred to as "the perfect storm" of tragedy. This refers to the experience of Marcel's journey through cancer, Adria's encounter with depression and Jessie's description of the near death experience of her mother. Josiah contributes with his enthusiastic drumming and coming up with the rock guitar riff on the song Beautiful. Much of the stories come from the perspective of an understanding of available grace and hope to recover what has been lost. That healing is possible in spite of the circumstances. Marcelâs regular work in the field of Mental Health and Addiction counselling finds its place in the landscape of the story telling, which is evident in the albums self-titled song âDonât Look In My Eyeâs.â What one can notice as they follow the journey of this release is an exploration of themes painting pictures of a complex and awe inspiring creation.
