In 1988, the duo put their musical ambitions on hold to attend college and serve their country proudly and honorably in the US Marine Corps and the US Navy respectively. This Atlanta based duo proved that time does not take away talent when they performed at the first annual FUNKRAPFEST - Atl-Explosion (their first performance together in over 10 years). Held at Atlanta's Philips Arena on August 4th 2000 and featuring performances by such a wide array of artists from CAMEO and The SOS Band to The Goody Mob and 2 Short; Xclusive's performance demanded and captured the attention of fans and music industry executives a like. Carol H. Lloyd, Executive Producer of the Mix Associates Inc. writes, "Your participation in the Live Artists Showcase was certainly an added dynamic to the evening's presentation".
