In 1988, the duo put their musical ambitions on hold to attend college and serve their country proudly and honorably in the US Marine Corps and the US Navy respectively. This Atlanta based duo proved that time does not take away talent when they performed at the first annual FUNKRAPFEST - Atl-Explosion (their first performance together in over 10 years). Held at Atlanta's Philips Arena on August 4th 2000 and featuring performances by such a wide array of artists from CAMEO and The SOS Band to The Goody Mob and 2 Short; Xclusive's performance demanded and captured the attention of fans and music industry executives a like. Carol H. Lloyd, Executive Producer of the Mix Associates Inc. writes, "Your participation in the Live Artists Showcase was certainly an added dynamic to the evening's presentation".
With the release of "905-1117", Xclusive strives to remain true to their funk and heart felt lyrical roots. While the rhythms will physically shake you, the lyrics will emotionally touch you. Not willing to compromise their creative vision in order to fit into today's musical trend, every song serves as their personal emotional roller coaster. They continue to try and prove that music truly has no age or ethnic barriers. This long awaited and desperately anticipated album hopes to be the first step on their road to musical longevity.
