17 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: New Age, NEW AGE: New Age
Details:
The songs on this album were written and played by David Wise who is a practicing physician in Pocatello, Idaho. They were inspired by actual life experiences over several decades and they represent a diversity of feelings often found in intimate relationships. The CD package includes written notes depicting images and ideas associated with each of the songs.
âTwo as Oneâ is a dance for two, perhaps in ballet or ballroom style.
âCourtshipâ was inspired by a watercolor painting showing two birds interacting in flight. In the song, the lower notes represent the male and the upper the female. The two first come together in a ritualistic dance culminating in mating followed again by the dance and then eventual separation.
âIn No Hurryâ represents the feelings one has when taking a casual Sunday drive in the country.
âBack to My Fatherâ was written soon after the death of his father. It helped him remember his fatherâs strength and sensitivity.
âThe Pictureâ is a song whose structure acts as a picture frame in an art gallery for you to fill with any image of your choice.
"Innocence" portrays a young girl becoming a woman.
âQuiet Passageâ was composed the day following the death of his young friend after a prolonged and tragic illness. He felt the strong presence of this gentle and spiritual man during the creation of the music. This gave him hope that his friend would have an easy passage to the other side.
âDonât Turn Awayâ represents a couple in love but having difficulties as one has been hurt and is now pulling away. As in many intimate relationships, both good and bad feelings are present pulling from both sides with the final result a mystery.
âWhy Canât I?â is a question asked by a young man as to why he canât see his lover tonight. He is pleading that she may again find interest in him.
âSo Happyâ is that intense pleasure a couple feels when love frees them from the confines of their mundane existence.
