Dan Bonow, born in Seattle, raised in Seattle and Nigeria, has, for decades, been a charismatic, exciting ROCK 'n' SOUL master. His bands have been known for unique original songs, funky grooves, soulful singing and existential musings. Dan has toured several continents with his own bands, or backing reggae, world-beat, funk, R&B and blues artists. This is his long-awaited first release.

The CD, WISH, is the culmination of 40 years of rule-breaking in the music business. Recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, Seattle, and Kauai, Hawaii (where I now live and gig with my group UNCO FUNKI). Dan Bonow is simply unbelievable...not only a killer organ player but also a brilliant songwriter, electrifying singer and performer. His lyrics are sharp, funny, and wholly original, sometimes employing clichés in a surprising way that casts them in a new, ironic light. His voice has a broad range, from deep bass to silky falsetto, and is just dripping with pure soul.
