Description: Country all the way and can put on a show during live performance 13 MP3 Songs COUNTRY: Modern Country, COUNTRY: Traditional Country Details: I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 27th. I started expressing an interest in music at a very early age (around 3 or 4). When I was 9, I gave my first stage performance. I sang âGreen, Green Grass of Homeâ at my schoolâs talent contest. I took second place, and knew entertaining was in my blood. I bought my first guitar when I was 14. I earned the money myself by cutting grass and delivering newspapers. I went to a local pawnshop, paid $100.00 for a six-string acoustic, and proceeded to teach myself to play. I joined the Army after graduating high school. Eventually, I was honorably discharged and became a truck driver. I owned my own rig and considered myself a âpaid touristâ. The world was my oyster. I was in a different state every week. There was always a bar that had live music, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. I would just walk in, find out who was in charge, explain myself, and (most of the time), and found myself on a stage with a seasoned band backing me up! It was great! Tragedy struck in 1995. My father (who I was never really close to) became terminally ill. So I came off the road, sold my truck, and took care of him until he passed away at home in his sleep. In the last few months of his life, I finally got to know my father, and I was crushed after his passing. I lost interest in everything that I enjoyed: driving, music, art, everything. I needed to get away from the memories. I decided to take a vacation. In November of 1999, I jumped on a Grey Hound bus and headed south. I eventually ended up in Florida, and once again I found myself being drawn to the stage. I started going to Karaoke shows (something I had never done before!) and before too long I was becoming quite well known as a Karaoke performer who didnât use the âpromptersâ. I also formed a band with some local musicians I met. We got our act together pretty quick and before we knew it, we were cutting our first (and only) CD. Unfortunately, things didnât work out. We disbanded and I moved on. My next stop was Arizona. I got interested in doing Karaoke again, but this time I wanted to run the show. I bought what equipment I needed, and wound up going to work for a little place on the south side of Tucson, called The Office Bar. Danny D.âs scout, Johnny C. found me there during one of my shows. I met Danny a couple of weeks later, and cut a demo disk. The disk was then sent to Mr. R. Metzger in Nashville, TN. A couple of months later, I was offered a recording contract with Scarecrow Records! My next dream and goal is to give a performance at âLive from Austin City Limitsâ in Austin Texas!! in partnership with CDbaby User tags: Votes: Reviews: Review it!
