MY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS ALBUM:

The songs I wrote were the result of spending time in his presence on a daily basis. These songs came from the Holy Spirit, thus this album's name: Melodies from the Spirit of God. As I wrote, I felt his spirit ministering through me. I enjoyed writing and singing these songs. I hope you enjoy listening to them and that they minister to your soul as they do to mine. ABOUT THE ARTIST:

This is the debut album for Debbie Mayerson. She grew up in a musical family, singing in her father's church choir. At the age of five she began studying piano. She graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Although her initial training as a lyric soprano was in opera, her love for the Lord has caused her to switch exclusively to Christian music. Her stage credits include: Marriage of Figaro: Countess Almaviva (East Los Angeles Opera Workshop); Bizet's Carmen; Mark Bucci's Triad (Hollywood Opera Theatre); Billy Dorsey's Power of Prayer and Something Good to Sing About; and Precious Lord.

As part of "That Billy Dorsey Bunch" she sung backup for Barry Manilow at Anaheim Arena, Blockbuster Pavilion, Universal Amphitheater, and his National Tour Ren-Mar Studios ("Let Freedom Ring" and "I Write the Songs"). Her television credits include (as part of "That Billy Dorsey Bunch"): singing backup for Barry Manilow on The Arsenio Hall Show, One Voice (ABC), and In A New Light (ABC).
