Melancholy and confidence have a charming rendezvous. Variable guitar sounds complement dewâs voice wonderfully â this amazing voice that sounds discretely, sometimes fragile but then again with great intensity â and with the power to fascinate her audience.

In February/March 2006 she crossed the ocean, heading for the USA. The destination was âJackpot! Studioâ in Portland, Oregon. During almost three weeks, she has been working there together with well-known producer Larry Crane (Elliott Smith, Jenny Lewis, the Go-Betweens, etc.).
With the help of professional musicians, the songs have grown into minimally orchestrated folk-rock-songs during the recording process; and the darker songs have been endowed with expression and depth by Nicoleâs voice.

Her first solo work âmoments to dwellâ was made with Larry Crane and Pascal Perrot. All instruments were played by Nicole, Larry and Pascal, and on drums, Rachel Blumberg (Norfolk/Western; The Decemberists) gives a strong performance.
