Jon Schwier and Jeannie Logan, professional musicians since their youth, recorded this album as a preview to their scheduled tour of the Western United States. The arrangements of these classic folk songs correlate to the destinations of this tour. Even the order in which the songs appear describes the story of their journey westward and the adventure they would soon encounter.

Jon Schwier has been a performing guitarist for multiple cruise lines and a first call musician for off-Broadway shows in Indiana. Just before making this recording, he received a performance job offer from the U.S. Navy Band and U.S. Army Band after successfully passing their selective audition process.

Jeannie Logan spent years performing professionally on Cruise Lines, singing in New York City, and has vocal directed many of the off-Broadway productions in Indiana. Managers of national record companies frequently contract Jeannie to vocally train their recently signed artists as a result of her preceding reputation and notoriety.
