This is the first album from the students and faculty of the Broadmoor Academy of Music located in Colorado Springs, CO. BAM was formed in 2006 with the goal of creating top-notch young musicians using a mix of contemporary musical style and traditional classical techniques. BAM slogan is "Turning Students Into Musicians Since 2006". That is exactly the students do at BAM. The students have a weekly ensemble rehearsal for two hours where they learn the nuts and bolts of jazz improvisation, harmony, arranging, composition, jazz/rock/pop/latin/blues/and r&b repertoire. The students prepare six concerts throughout the year and do performances in the community as well as their own gigs. BAM has private lessons for all instruments and voice, ensemble classes for jazz and rock, and recording and music technology classes.
