Details:
Born in the Bronx, New York the artist Known as Don Jewelz has been performing since the age of 6. At first it was just local plays for the toughest crowds around, then with his first rap group at age 11. In the Bronx it was all about Hip Hop, people would stop you on the street to challenge you to a battle and you had to be ready. You had to be original and you had to be live!
His family moved around allot while maintaining a co-op on Tremont Ave. He lived in California, but it wasnât until moving to Panama City, Florida did he resume Hip Hop in full force again. While performing under the name "Sabeel" meaning "the Way" he made a name for himself by creating different rhyme patterns and styles with the flow. With his brother "Noktrnl" they started the rap group "Myndbendaz" and performed shows throughout the pan handle to Alabama; noteably club Spinnaker, La Vela, and MTVâs spring break show â The Grind. â While on Theater scholarship at Gulf Coast College he met and teamed up with D.P.J., and Dony âQuestâ Adair and the team currently known as "EyeCon records" to form the super group "Repatwah" witch continued to rip shows at spots such as the Martin Theater and Marina Civic Center. They began to gain a reputation for always having original beats usually supplied by "Fingerz" a older cousin of Don Jewelz based out of New York. As the demand for tracks became too great Jewelz and Quest took over the bulk of the production duties.
The nomad once again picked up and moved to Delaware; to attend Delaware State University. This time under the imprint Enferno Productionz he began to produce tracks for local talent as well as market, package & promote parties 4 them. It was also in Delaware that he met Long Island, N.Y. born Joe Blast ; who also lends his unique production style & engineering to the team.
After a short hiatus Enferno Productionz returns with "TurnStylez" a collection of hits recorded with some of the hottest emcees in Delaware featuring the very hype Mr. Smif kicking hooks on Enferno Musick, or going back and forth âSmif n Wessonâ style on FreeStyles, Noktrnl adds flava to tracks like Make it Happen , & Killaz, the Don himself and more ..enjoy this record that pays homage to what Hip Hop is all about Tight Beats and Skillz!
