We are the music makers...the dreamers of dreams...this is a sonic explosion...aural espionage and the best damn metal/funk/rock band you've ever heard.. 11 MP3 Songs METAL: Progressive Metal, METAL: Alternative Metal Details: DoHM as it is now called has been born and killed and born again many times before it reached itâs current incarnation. Drummer and primary songwriter Brian Pritchard (P-Funk) began the process back in 1996 with a group called Nosferatu. This band was headed up by current frontman Brian Noll and became known as Drop after Max Dixon (Little Buddy) replaced guitarist Chris Killion, who had moved to New York . This high school band had a typical fate as each member went their own way, and for years and years there was no stage in Cleveland that showcased this talented ensemble. A sleepless night in the spring of 2000 led Mr. Pritchard to an important decision. He would refuse his invitation to attend the Kent Honors College and focus instead on answering the call of his instincts. It was time to follow the lead of Jake and Ellwood and start âputting the band back togetherâ. The addition of multi-talented guitarist/DJ Conor Heldorfer filled out the powerhouse harmonized guitar duo. A true twist came in the form of classically trained Hungarian bass player Levente Nagy who brought unforeseen elements into the equation. The final piece to the puzzle came from the original frontman Brian Noll who had been away at school. Max and Brian P. frequently visited Noll at his OU habitat, and he seemed to have a preternatural understanding of the music, both where it was coming from and what it was capable of. With some two albums worth of music already prepared, DoHM began editing and shaping what would become their debut CD âWatch The Rivers Run Redâ, a thoughtful exploration of the many facets of our current American political and emotional climate. DoHM has explored these themes from all viewpoints without catering to the polarizing red and blue mentality that largely dominates the daily lives of our American culture. By delivering one breath-taking live show after another, they have built up an extensive and devoted Cleveland following that they have held on to with a simple promise, you will never see the same DoHM show twice. âWe are always working on new material and new twists to the existing tunesâ says songwriter Brian Pritchard. âPeople are starting to be familiar with the first album material to the point that weâre seeing massive groups of strangers coming out and singing along with the tunes and fans coming from out of town to watch us play liveâ. Album two, tentatively titled âThe Circusâ is in the works right now and DoHM wants you all to keep coming back for your fix⦠in partnership with CDbaby User tags: Votes: Reviews: Review it!
