In my life, I have gone through many hard times of depression as I lost many loved ones. These are the lives of my family and friends who I loved so very much. I am sure that the encouraging words in this CD will help anyone who has lost someone they loved. May they bless and find comfort to all those who listen to them.
The songs on this CD are as follows:
1. Heaven's Eyes - (I'll be watching you from heaven) - (By Doug Dischner)
Heaven's Eyes is a song dedicated to my father who passed away due to battle with cancer. This song is about what my father said to me. Though I hurt and was so lost, I remembered my father's last words. "Stay on the straight and narrow, keep God in your life and go on, I'll be watching you from heaven."
2. Debra Smiles - (By Doug Dischner)
This is a song that I wrote when my sister, Debra, passed away on December 7th, 2005. Once again the loss of a loved on tore my heart again between faith and all that I see here. Nevertheless, I realize that tough she is gone, her memory lives on in me and in the lives of those who knew her. I know that some day, we will see each other again.
3. Amy's Gone - (By Doug Dischner)
I wrote Amy's Gone after Amy, my girl friend left me. The separation had brought much grief into my life during that season. However, afterwards I realized that it was for the best and neither of us would have wanted it any other way.
4. Candles and Tears - (By Doug Dischner)
A song dedicated to Jeremy and Megan Reese, Grandchildren to my very good freinds, Harold and Linda. Jeremy and Megan were very young when they went to be with the Lord in 1995. I have often thought about what the might say now. They have no pain or sadness and God has wrapped his arms around them.
5. Bundle of Joy - (By Doug Dischner)
Children are bundles of joy. This song would make a great birthday song at a birthday party. Suitable for anyone that has a child. This song tells of a parents love for their children.
6. Consume Me - (By Jerry Gadwa)
An acoustical song by Jerry Gadwa. Consume me is a prayer song that he wrote in 1996 when his children became very ill at a time when they lost their home.
7. Finger Paint - (By Michelle Robbins)
He colored the sky blue and painted the grass green. Then he hung there on that cross and took his last breath. We are bought by the blood and our lives are not our own.
8. In Time - (By Jerry Gadwa)
This is a song written by a music teacher for his teenage students. It tells of life's responsibilities and how it is filled with much more that fun and games. It is a call to all young men and woman to consider that what the sewing is paving the future.
9. Little Less Judgment - (By Michelle Robbins)
A Song which calls for all of us to consider much less judgment and a lot more love.
10. Society in a Hurry - (By Doug Dischner)
Life seems to be moving faster and faster all the time. We all seem to be getting more busy by the day. This message is one which encourages us to consider time for our family and friends. Society in a Hurry is a call for us to slow down and take time for the one who made us. The chorus tells us not to shut him out.
