The singer Camilla Jonasson used to be a drummer and usually stayed in the background. When she began using the guitar to create music, the idea was born to take a step forward on the stage.

The step from being the drummer in the indie-band Three Blind Mice might seem like a big one, but Donkeyshot is possibly even more independent. Camilla Jonasson is a true singer-songwriter inspired above all by Carole King. The songs wander about in dreamlike Kafkaesque landscapes, though the lyrics often deal with everyday matters. A 12 tracks long travel guide to life. With no ambition to push people in any particular direction, itâs rather more about picking up the small grains that make up the lives of human beings.

It also gives her the freedom to create music that is a tribute to other independent women and soft men of everyday life. Besides writing the lyrics and composing the music, Camilla co-produced âA Real Life Travel Repâ with Anders Nordgren. Anders is the guitarist in Donkeyshot, but he is more known for being one of the people behind Tambourine Studios, the studio that was responsible for a large part of the music created in Malmo in the 1990âs.
