Dorado is an altFunk group based in Portland Oregon. Started in 2002 by Australian ex-pat singer/guitarist Sky Cooper, and NYC veteran session drummer Joe Trump. Doradoâs sound is a combination of rock, funk, and jazz elements.

Sky came to the states to study music with legend Yusef Lateef. After graduating Hampshire College and spending three years couchsurfing and gigging between Australia and the USA he settled in Portland Oregon.

Joe Trump has recorded and played with many greats; from underground industrial rock gods Pigface, to Medeski Martin and Wood, to Jeff Buckley, to Curtis Mayfield and Ice T.

The debut album comes after 4 years writing and gigging and includes a solid line-up of PDXâs best talent, including local legend Renato Caranto on sax (Mel Brownâs Group) and Jen Folker (Dahlia) on backing vocals.
