dream catcher

âdream catcherâ is John Rechâs solo project. The former T42 singer is a well-known festival promoter in his country as well as Ezioâs manager. T42 was one of the most renown Luxembourgish bands between 1990 and 2005 and toured most of Europe, including the Czech Republic in 1992. They opened for the biggest international acts, such as Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson (sorry about that), Alanis Morrissette and many more).

If âdream catcherâ have kept T42âs live dynamic, the songs written by John Rech, Eric Falchero and Marcus Praed are far more refined and emotional. In 1998, the release of their first EP âhappy in my tree houseâ underlined the bandâs strong hit potential. 8 years later, the single is still one of the most played songs on local radio stations.

In 2003, John and Eric Falchero wrote the theme song, âdeng Handâ, for the Télévie Campaign. The single went straight to number 1 in the charts and reached gold status within a couple of weeks. Enjoying this collaboration, the two rented a house in the South of France and wrote a couple of new songs, including the single âVerluerâ, for an EP called â3â released in early 2005, just before dream catcher supported Ezio on their German Tour in March. The bandâs performance was astonishing and the multilingual set (English, French and Luxembourgish) found a great response. Same success at Luxembourgâs main festivals over the summer, while their former bandâs farewell album reached 5 times platinum. A farewell indeedâ¦

After a short break, Eric, Marcus and John returned to the Mühle der Freundschaft in Bad Iburg (Germany) at the end of 2005 to record the follow-up to â3â. Once again, recorded, mixed and produced by Marcus Praed (by the way, Ezioâs sound engineer, who also plays different instruments), the new songs benefited from the general enthusiasm in the studio and the lack of constraints.

A first single, called âsunny daysâ, has just been released to support the 2006 Télévie campaign while the new album (also called âsunny daysâ) will be published in Germany (edel contraire distribution) on April 7th. Luxembourg is a cultural and linguistic multi-pot and thatâs exactly what this album is about. From English Pop to French Chanson, the multi-cultural musicians enjoy bathing in many stiles and languages. While any other band releasing such an album would probably be considered as âlooking for its identityâ, this album is for dream catcher rather an acknowledgement of ones roots. And thatâs exactly what theyâre gonna take on the road⦠so look out for dream catcher liveâ¦
