Bakerâs talent as a singer/songwriter comes as a breath of extremely fresh (and lyrically pleasing) air in what is otherwise a very putrid and stinking Birmingham âsceneâ (yes Iâm talking about metal and noisy stuff). âPlankâ remains my favourite, being the most driven and un-Elliott Smith-like track out of these five.
