This is a delicate, intimate and delicious collection of highly original songs inspired by Chopin, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven.

Elizaveta was born in New York City, but grew up in Moscow, Russia. She started playing piano early and fell in love with Chopin waltzes. Then she grew up, lived in Europe, moved to Los Angeles, where she graduated in opera.

Breakfast with Chopin is a special project, close to her heart. It is a tribute to her childhood and Elly's love of classical music. On this CD, classical is not classical any longer, but becomes immediate and contemporary. These are songs: real songs, inspired by the great composers of our past.

This project was produced by Oren Hadar and features Sonus Quartet (currently touring with Gnarls Barkley) on all strings. Sheldon Gomberg, who played acoustic bass on all songs, also mixed it. It was mastered by Joe Gastwirt in the grand analog tradition.

Breakfast with Chopin is an audiophile quality CD. From the music itself to mixing to mastering and the beautiful artwork, this is a collector's item.
