The band Emory Quinn first came together sometime in the fall of 2002 when lead singer Clint Bracher and lead guitarist Nathan Rigney first met on the campus of Texas A&M. Both had strong musical backgrounds and had previously been in bands. It started out just the two of them playing at an open mic night at a bar on Wellborn road, where they played for a while until they eventually started to land a few small gigs locally at other bars. "We started our first recordings in our dorm room and have since evolved into Emory Quinn." While every member of the group can play just about any instrument you put in front of them, and you will believe it once you see them in concert, Casey Bell plays mainly on the bass and Garrett Ruple the drums. The band has recently completed work on their first studio CD âLetting Goâ which was released in late August of 2006. The music they play truly is extremely diverse, and if you ask them what it is they will probably each give you a different answer, as can be seen when they list their influences of Robert Earl Keen, Ryan Adams, Widespread Panic, Jack Ingram, and Jimmy Buffett just to name a few. Most of all they just enjoy playing music. As you can read in each of their bios they love being together as a band, traveling, and doing whatever they can to give their audience a good show.
