The album âAngel and the Canadian Celtic Cowboyâ the (A&CCC) is the follow up CD to âCulloden Fieldâ (CF) released 6 years before. It reflects the real need for companionship that every lonesome âCowboyâ feels out in this vast land of ours and should be thought of as a âTheme Albumâ. It is appropriate that time has passed since the album was made as events that were described at the time have taken place to breath âlifeâ into the imaginary world of our adventuresome âcowboyâ. He has performed on the famous âStripâ as well as on the Fremont Stage downtown Las Vegas. The 2003 Edinburgh Fringe Festival was the stage for him in the Carlton Hotel where fellow entertainers of âCâ at the fringe voted him âMost Underrated Showâ. He has performed the âHighland Games Trailâ from Nova Scotia to BC and from Florida to Washington State. It was during his travels that he entered libraries and graveyards to discover the âTruthâ of his Celtic past.

âEachdraidhâ pronounced (Awk-dree) is the Scots Gaelic word for âHistoryâ and is the creative name given to describe the links that these albums have to what is known as âHeritage Musicâ. Great care is taken to reward the listener with historical accuracy in all songs that relate to actual events that took place. With A&CCC this is on a personal level in family events that affected the outcome of Davidâs family if not the entire formation of Canada. A profound thing to say, but Davidâs personal heritage began with the very first and oldest settlements in Canada. His grandfathers made History and David makes âHistory in Songâ. The companion book to the debut album CF was written to be used as âstudy materialâ for students of history.


It is important to understand the âtheatricalâ nature of David. This wacky cross-cultural style brings you into his world. It blends fact and reality with a teasing playfulness that ends with a serious statement in the albums final song about the events of Canadaâs âBlack Fridayâ.
