Fitter is an experimental rock trio from the east side of Hollywood, California which was formed in 1999. From the beginnings Fitterâs musical vision has morphed into a diverse fusion of energetic music styles cradled on hard aggressive rock foundations. What started as a three piece instrument band has grown into a 5 piece instrument band but still only three members. Embraced with funk, ska, reggae, samba, disco, and Latin rhythms, the end result is difficult to classify the bandâs genre. The bandâs energy captivates the sincerity of their love for music and their appreciation for everyone present.

The band has played countless shows at some of the most important venues across California and Nevada including the House of Blues, Viper Room, Key Club, El Rey Theatre, and The Knitting Factory amongst others. They've shared the stage with international acts from around the world including Kinky (Mexico) and Lucy Bell (Chile). Winners of various battle of the bands, theyâre most recent award was that of the 2005 Miller Lite Battle of the bands contest in Los Angeles. So whether itâs a crowd of ten or hundreds, the Fitter objective is to keep everyone moving throughout their performance.

Currently the band is in full promotion of their much anticipated album entitled âYou Donât Belong Here But Weâll Use You Anywayâ under the Red Star Penguin label. The album was engineered and co-produced by Jason Mariani whose work includes Kenny Loggins, Super Tramp, and Local H among others. The production showcases the many influences that the band endures and exposes. The bands prospective on their music is left to the public to decide, whatever one makes of it is up to the listenerâs mind.
