"In every generation, there are always a few who understand; Always understand... even if you remain among the few." RMK Pretend you are an intelligent being from outer space and you have heard mankind speak about a God who created it all. You may have to decide at some point whether there is enough evidence for you to accept the existence of this God. If you do agree that there is a God, then you will have to decide whether there's any validity to Judaism. Then, you will examine Judaism's off shoots to see whether they offer a better understanding of this deity. You'll have to decide if Christianity's belief that Jesus was the long-awaited Messiah is valid; or whether Islam's Muhammad was the 'one' chosen by Allah (God) to reveal a newer and better approach to life. It could be that neither offers a compelling answer, yet, you may find that remaining an agnostic or an atheist demands an equal amount of faith and imagination. In our journey we will examine Judaism, Christianity, and Islam in more detail. We will look at Buddhism and atheism and try to understand why many have chosen to seek other alternatives to mainstream religion. Thomas Gray once wrote in a poem: "ignorance is bliss" and many people would rather bury their heads in the sand than face the possibility that all they know to be true is a farce. We cling on to beliefs because they help us make sense of the world around us. They add meaning to our lives or they soberly prove all is meaningless; either way it helps us come to terms with our perceived reality. Does religion really matter? Here is The Answer.
