âOn October 25th 2003, I was invited to perform a âHealthy Concertâ in Brighton. Healthy concerts are very unique â intimate acoustic music evenings held in peopleâs houses around the UK. The Saturday evening I performed was a special night for me and the songs. We were in a house near to the seafront, and a warm audience of around 30 people were gathered to listen. Some of the songs from my debut album âShapeshiftingâ made a more âstrippedâ appearance, and some new material was played for the first ever time. The concert was then released as a limited edition album in 2003.
Now, in late 2006, I have selected 7 of those songs, and enhanced the sound quality, as well as adding a few new sound âsurprisesâ to the tracks. I hope you enjoy this Little Wonderland.â (Harris, November 2006)

BIOGRAPHY:

HARRIS is Lee Harris - a singer songwriter from Brighton, England.....

After many years in music in various ways (including being a backing singer for The Pet Shop Boys on their album Very), he released his self-penned debut album Shapeshifting in 2002. Produced by Adam Fuest, the album wowed fans and critics alike, and was noted for its "dark and unusual beauty - a truly unique album"

After its release Harris did a short series of live dates in support of it, and in 2004 received the nominations of Best Male Artist and Best Album from Pan Artist, after topping their Internet chart for well over a year. He then started working on the follow up album, originally intended as another solo album. Along the way however, various unexpected collaborations and musical journeys with other musicians happened, (one of which led to the creation of the itunes exclusive One Night EP).

But the key working relationship happened in 2005. On the strength of one track they'd written together, guitarist Chris Gonzalez invited Lee to his home in Ibiza to spend a summer spent co-writing and recording an album together. The writing partnership was effortless, and 17 brand new songs were written in as many days! It is from these 17 songs that the tracks for his forthcoming release Between Venus and Mars were taken.

After that summer, the tracks they created then travelled around and across the world, being worked on as they went by musicians such as Javier Vargas (Vargas Blues Band), Paco Fernandez (Cafe del Mar) and Gregers Krarup (Cornucopia/Solid World), in countries as diverse as Ibiza, Sweden, Russia, Spain and England.

"This album has been quite a journey. It's travels around the world and the time it has taken has certainly paid off, as it has created an album that is very rich and colourful. After many delays, in December 2006 the album was signed to a brand new independent record label (whose identity is soon to be announced) based in Ibiza. It will be released by that label later this year. I am very very happy, excited and proud that these songs will soon be heard. Finally!", Lee, speaking in January 2007.

Keeping himself busy in the meantime, 2006 saw the release of the Harris live album Little Wonderland, work began on a 3rd studio album, and in December 2006, Lee was interviewed live on BBC Southern Counties Radio after his song Time will Remember was voted Song of the Week by a Music Industry Panel.

Between Venus and Mars is currently due to be released in time for Summer 2007.
