Harvey Marcus was 20 years old in 1946 when he went into a little booth in New York City and recorded his âPub Songâ while on leave from the US Army. Last month, 60 years later, Harvey celebrated his 80th birthday and brought out this 78 rpm record made of clay (before vinyl was invented) and played this scratchy â AND CATCHY â little song for his family. We had never heard this, and you can only imagine the delight and surprise we felt listening. We took this record to a sound engineer, who cleaned up the noise to a good level of quality, leaving just enough scratches to still sound âvintageâ.

Any proceeds from CD sales or digital distribution will go 50 to Harvey and 50 to homeless programs. "Liquor Won't Hurt" won GarageBand's "Track of the Day" for comedy on December 12th, 2006.

Harvey is a devoted husband of 50+ years, a loving father, grandfather - and a man of many talents. In the spring of 2007 he will release a self-published novel titled âThank Godâ which he began writing six years ago. Harvey is conservative, spiritual, and committed to living in a world without war.

December of 1946 was a great time. WWII was over, and GIâs were popular. The future promised to be bright. Now, we honor Harvey and others, who served, lived and loved â and worked to create the world we enjoy today. Thank you, and Rock On, Harvey!!
