A quiet and distinctive voice, melodies that are simple but takes suprising turns, varied instrumentation and a lot of people involved. Hanny's first album is a bit hard to describe, but very pleasant to listen to.


H a n n y

Hanny released their first CD-R Moderning in the summer 2005. This title is chosen because the songs address how things that are perceived to be new tend to be the only things that are not. Hannyâs music is both catchy and introvert, and it is intensely flirting with dark Buddhist sound. The vocals can be described as soulful and freaky. The band utilizes many different musical instruments: strings, guitars, the accordion and beats. Hanny is in 2007, Ida Jannike Graf, Simon Yri Cools, Sara Cools. Ida Amanda Hvidsten, Viviana Vega and Marie Therese Kvamme.

Moderning has received fine press reviews, and the songs have been on play lists at P3, Radio Nova and Radiorakel radios. Hanny plays live regularly, and has held conserts around Oslo, Trondheim, Barcelona and Brussels, the performances often including interpretations of French popular songs from the 60s-80s.
