Hearts of Palm performed in Montreal regularly from 2004-2006 and did a regional tour in support of their self produced and released record. The record, for sale here, was recorded at Planet Studios in February of 2005. The band has since taken a hiatus while one member works for "the company," another brainwashes his classmates, another speaks to deaf people and bangs on drums in bars across eastern canada, and the other jet sets and continues to pursue writing tunes. Independent Release captures a fun, energetic, tight band that was riding high on a wave of collegiate popularity. The follow up EP titled "Birds Fly Backwards," is finished and will be released.
