homegrown artist helen brown records a cd/mixture of modern country/bluegrasssy/patriotic.out of nicholas co.wv the singer songwriter wrote the music and lyrics to five of her favorite which are lie again/ you lose/country,was written about the place she was raised,im a woman/he's a good ole boy.the job's helen held said she met a few of these good ole boys.then she co/wrote three songs with oscar tharpe. titles are/ wake up america/walk alone and farm boy.she is from a family of sixteen nine girls seven boys and so proud of them. dad was a coal miner mom had the job of ten wemon,taking care of us.helen never quit her day job,she would work all week sing on weekends.she went from factory worker to plant ,construction,coal mine as a communications clerk to dust sampler.to a journeyman electrician i.b.e.w. out of raliegh n.c.now she is taking time out to get caught up on some music.she hopes to sell songs to publishers or artist.helen lived in tenn. for some time where she worked threw the week and would sing on weekends.all over wv with her brother known as helen and rex.placed in lots of song writting contest,have preformed in many showdowns nation wide.her job kept her busy and away from her music, now she plans to get back in touch with her music.e-mailkc8nxl@msn.com
