In late 2005, I worked as the Lead Stand-In for Liam Neeson on the movie âSeraphim Fallsâ directed by David Von Ancken. This was a big jump from my job description at the time, which was Director of Technology for the Pojoaque School District in New Mexico.

Working with David I soon realized that he was not your average run-of the-mill director. He stands head and shoulders above the rest. David always listened to ideas and considered what everyone had to say, regardless of their position on the film. So when I told him that I composed music and was interested in composing for Seraphim Falls, he told me that he would give a listen to whatever I composed, and he did. Song by song, I composed in my head as I walked through every scene prepping with Liam. At the end of filming, I had fifteen instrumental pieces completed for submission to David.

As it turns out, the pieces were not selected for the final score. That honor fell to a composer far more adept than myself, Harry Gregorson Williams, who worked absolute wonders with the final score. I feel truly blessed to have been given the chance to express myself musically for a film that created such a turning point in my life.
So I dedicate this unofficial score âMusic Inspired By Seraphim Fallsâ to David Von Ancken, Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan who graciously listened to my music in progress and gave me all the confidence and inspiration to complete this symphonyâ¦You have all my respect.
