Formed in 2004 as a collective âart projectâ, the trio combines the diverse backgrounds of drummer, Jimmy Weinstein, bassist Luca Lo Bianco, and guitarist Francesco Guaiana. The trio proposes original music wherein the jazz matrix is melded into the experimental milieu of live electronics and exptemporaneous improv.
While challenging the delicate and always interesting theme of interplay, the group risks harmonically rocky and dissonant territory. There is never a specific âleaderâ, but an outlet where each member is free to propose ideas or submit to the flow of sound. Where at times the music grows exasporatingly hypnotic or even kaotic, the simplicity or efficiency of melody is never forgotten.
