Review by Ratatak.com:

The music of Holy Zoo cannot, nay WILL not, be confined into any particular category. Their creations successfully weave many different genres together. It's obvious that freedom of expression is very important to Holy Zoo. It's the kind of freedom that reaches out, grabs you warmly by the throat and pulls you into their world! This band is unique. Yes, you heard - unique!

All their tracks are incredibly tight and well produced, with some inspiring guitar work by Steev Dinkins, who's also responsible for the willful and often intimidating vocals. Non-cheesy lyrics are a rare find these days but bassist Scott Chavez sees to it that they're both poetic and meaningful. Kenny Pardo serves to remind us that innovative drum work is the backbone to any successful band. He also puts drum fills in the most unexpected places but it works!

A total disregard for the rules is the hallmark of this band. Holy Zoo have a great deal of experience playing live (including wearing hats made from toast and throwing small plastic dinosaurs at their audience!). What more could you ask of a band?

Review by Listen.com:

Holy Zoo seem on a mission to play every type of music that's come of age in the past century, although they don't insist on cramming them all into one song, instead letting each genre take ownership of each track. Pretty acoustic tracks and bizarre experimental numbers are all led by a lead singer who sounds quite a bit like Alice in Chains' Layne Staley.
