Howard was lead singer for "Lee Mace's Ozark Opry" for 10 years. He was also part of the opening act for such stars as Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Paycheck, Tammy Wynette and several others. He semi-retired from the music business to stay closer to home and be with the family. He kept up with his writing songs, which has always been a passion for him.
A few years ago John Davidson, of Broadway and Hollywood Squares fame, recorded one of the songs Howard and his wife, Flora, had written. John also did a couple of songs on his stage shows and on The TNN cabel channel. Flora and Howard have won numerous songwriting contests.
This CD is a compilation of all sorts of songs: belly-
rubbin', country, comedy, gospel, a little bluegrass feel, some almost pop sounding, plus Ozark Mountain types of songs.
All of these songs were written by Howard and his wife Flora. They were recorded in their studio in Springfield, Missouri. They are currently working on a couple more CDs.
