The Hoodstars are natives of the west side of Chicago. They were first members of group called One Shadow. After differences with the group about the direction headed, they decided to split and form the Hoodstars. The name was derived from them being notorious with the street hustle of getting their music off. From that, since it was so new to Chicagoans with actually having a hip-hop group selling their music in the middle of the street, they began to get recognized by everyone and everywhere they went from high school basketball games, bullfights, to day cares that they really felt like stars in the hood. They have released three albums to date throughout the Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs. They have currently sold an astonishing 45,000 plus albums hand to hand on the streets. From the first album entitled, "Still Getting Cash", to "Stick-Up Season", to "Cash Cost", the Hoodstars are definitely ready to take it to the next level and make their "World Premiere".
