Inca Son transports the audience to the Andes Mountains with their ancient melodies, dances, and colorful attire. The internationally acclaimed group shares their knowledge of all aspects of Inca culture. Their highest priority is to preserve this legacy, and as such the are both teachers and performers. Past Boston Music Award recipients, their venues range from the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City; United Nations; Carnegie Hall; Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C; and Boston's Symphony Hall, where they performed with the Pops. They have just become the first Peruvian group to win the coveted Independent Music Award! Inca Son delights in playing for students of all ages, and they have produced a great Teacher's Resource Guide. Their vibrant sound has entertained audiences throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Latin America. In the words of Boston Herald music critic Bob Young, "Inca Son, resplendent in feathers and singing the songs of their Inca ancestors, is a sight to behold."
