Details:
"Singing is a Hobby and a Waste of Time", thus sayeth the Lord. No, actually that's the kind of response you're liable to get at the Unemployment agency when you tell them you want to be an Elvis Impersonator.
Let it not be said that this is a record of Elvis songs or impersonators, it ain't in any way, shape or form. That's just what they told *Tony Reardon when he fronted up in 1996 looking for work. What that has got to do with this CD, I don't really know, but I like the idea that there are still carmudgeonly mental midgets out there who think this way. Hell, for some people singing probably is a hobby and waste of time. And a well paid waste of time, like the lead singer of a famous Irish rock band who fancies himself as a latter day saviour of certain parts of the planet.
Good luck to him I say, but just keep it to yerself pal. If you feel generous go ahead give away all your money, please stop nagging the rest of us.
Other topics to be found here concern mostly girls and sex, which by far are infinitely more interesting than politics ever could be. This year also marks the 30 anniversary of Elvis' death, and what more could one ask for than to be able to watch one of the King's last concerts, which was shown for about a second on national TV in 77 and now seems to have disappeared. I guess EPE don't want us to see an unsanitized version of anything of the Latter Day Elvis anymore. God forbid that we might actually see him as human and not some kind of Mount Rushmore of popular music. "Let Elvis Free" discusses a way this can be rectified.

But all things considered who gives a crap? That probably sums up the sentiment behind this latest Ian Stephen offering. Most music being by and large, degraded rubbish performed by nitwits who take themselves way too seriously. Don't despair though, because there is plenty of rubbish on this disk, and it's serious rubbish too!

Now if you're auditioning these songs and you think it all sounds a little disjointed and illfitting in places, that's ok.
If you actually got the stage of purchasing any of this product, and these things still concern you, don't be. Everything contained herein is supposed to sound that way. It has been painstakingly and carefully put together for your listening enjoyment.

So enjoy it, and tell someone you've made a refreshing discovery. Music that actually doesn't come with that unnerving aftertaste of artificial crud attached to it.

However, if after listening to this CD, in the unlikely occurence you still find yourself craving the trans fats of record company swill, there are a probably a million Celine Dion albums you can choose from, and I hear she sings real good. (It's the narcissistic self-absorption that's a little hard to take.)

Have a Great Day!
