I never thought keeping a band together would be so difficult. It was never a matter of style or creative differences, it was more about finding the time necessary to commit and integrating everyoneâs schedule. So after a few tries with a couple bands, I figured Iâd start writing on my own for myself. I will reap all of the rewards and absorb all of the critics. This is the first effort of my very common experience. Another drawback about having no band is limited live potential. That was always a great way to get immediate feedback and tighten up and enhance all of your songs. Skipping the entire live process, I brought in some friends and worked with an excellent Dallas based producer to fill in the blanks for this EP. So this CD is pretty much the first installment of my audio diary. As in life, it will either get better and better with each entry or be naturally selected out with a timely death. I hope to avoid the latter. More horrible metaphors to come. Enjoy.
