Details:
Jazmine Jahn, the youngest of 5 children grew up in the small town of Elkton Maryland and began singing at the young age of 3. By grade school, she joined a cheerleading team and from there on every year throughout college, she choreographed dance routines for her squad. After singing the national anthem on several accounts for her high school (and eventually in college) basketball team, her music career jump started as a pop RnB singer at the age of 19 writing songs and recording.
Her first recordings began with one of Marvin Gaye's jazz keyboardist, and engineer Dean Banks. From there Jazmine continued to write and went on to record in professional studios in NY with talented producers such as Arty Skye from Skylab Studios, Ali Van from Stereotype Music, and Neil Krin from Jaks Music. Locally she's recorded with Nitty from Icon Ice Productions, responsible for the hip hop chart hit "Dem Boyz."
Throughout her course, Jazmine took expressive vocal training with Starpoint's singing diva, Renee Diggs, Baltimore Opera's Carol Westcott, Peabody's Carole Cavey Miles, and Sony musics Donna Newman. Her ability to captivate audiences with her sultry sounds, sweet vocals, and astonishing dance moves, most especially in NYC and now in the D.C./Baltimore area have always moved crowds, large and small. She's performed with NYC's sexy Asian dance troop from Japan, A.U.G. at venues such as The Baggott Inn, S.O.B's, La Maganette, Demerara, Soul Cafe, and Radio One. She has also done performances recently at Baltimore's well renowned event Pride, and at the 5 seasons in collaboration with hip hop show-stopper, "Enfenetee" from X9 Records. Jazmine has also managed the dancers at Baltimore's celebrity drawn hangout, club One.
Currently Jazmine continues to work independently amongst her privately owned music production company, Jazmine's Playhouse, after becoming a certified Audio Productions Techniques Engineer. The launch of Jazmine's new release, "Resurrection", has long been eagerly anticipated by her her fans. Listeners can expect sounds matching the industry's mainstream competitive trends, but still keeping that very unique independent flavor fans have always set her apart for.
Jazmine's love for writing music on her own projects and other's has been and will continue to also be her main focus as an artist. Stay tuned for more to come from this very talented artistic entrepreneur.
