JACINTA
This firebrandâs infectious dance grooves paired with her dynamic and inspiring lyrics equal a creative talent that is almost unearthly. In an age where corporate cookie cutter drones are being manufactured at an alarming rate, it is refreshing to have a true singer, songwriter and musician hit the scene. Her music has reached far and wide starting from her hometown of Sydney, Australia where her single Wonderland held the number-one spot for 20 weeks on the independent charts. Now the USA is lucky to serve as her international base. Her first single released in the US, SUNSHINE, reached number twenty on the Billboard Dance Club charts in 2005-2006. Her current single DESTINATION was cowritten with Anton Bass and remixed by UK dynamites Digital Dog and Aurora.
As a solo artist she has performed in Australian dance clubs, resorts, major sports and music events and has shared the bill with international artists including Tony Bennett, Cake, Leo Sayer, David Gates of Bread, and Take That.
JACINTA this temptress is addictive. She captivates and inspires audiences with her every move as she delivers her hypnotic sounds. The music is HERS â her lyrics, her melodies, her infectious rhythms. Your own feelings come alive in her songs as she speaks to your heart and caresses your soul.
A Real Artist in the World of Dance Music
Amidst the many remixers and producers in the dance music community, itâs rare to find the true artist who writes and performs original tracks. Jacinta is the genuine article â a musician, writer, vocalist, producer and performer â a true and committed artist in the electronic dance world.
A Distinct Voice and Sound
JACINTA delivers an engaging culmination of dynamic dance beats, soaring vocals, and exhilarating melodies fused with an exotic Euro flavor. A solo artist, she produces and performs what she calls âtechnical music for an emotional worldâ. From the solace of the studio to live on stage, youâll find her singing and playing with her band - the extensions of her fingers and the impressions they leave on the keyboards, infrared beams, samplers, sliders, and knobs.
A Labyrinthine Journey
Hers is a daring musical experience that has been culminated into a sense of solidarity. Three years ago JACINTA made the transition relocating to the US from Sydney, Australia with apparent ease, but her journey was not without twists, turns, and surprises. Technically a US citizen, JACINTA was born in Oregon of Russian Cossack, Dutch Seafaring and Australian First Fleeter ancestry. At six weeks old her family moved to Sydney Australia. This is where she began her music career, band by band and gig by gig, song by song. Her reputation and musical diversity are evidenced by JACINTAâs performances with electronic bands, rock bands, big bands and numerous international artists. She has performed with Australian artists including Glenn Shorrock of Little River Band, Brian Cadd, Keith Urban and Renee Geyer. In 1997 JACINTA decided to approach her music career from a solo perspective. Since then, she has been purposefully building a diverse and stylish presence - performing, songwriting, producing, and establishing her own record label âChunky Music.' As a solo artist she has performed in Australian dance clubs, major sports and music events and shared the bill with international artists including Tony Bennett, Cake, Leo Sayer, David Gates of Bread, and Take That. With her solo release, Sandalwood: Under the Influence, an album inspired by a freakish 5-month adventure in India, she found herself gaining a solid footing with the albumâs centerpiece song, âFlyâ. This particular track, featuring bittersweet lyrics, entwining harmonies, and a driving dance beat, proved to be the ace that led to success on the music charts.
Sandalwood's Release and Success on the Australian Indy Charts
Following Sandalwoodâs release, Fly was picked up by the childrenâs show âThe Saddle Clubâ. It was a launching point from which JACINTA could begin custom songwriting for the Discovery Kidâs channel favorite. In 2003 her single âWonderlandâ hit #1 on the Australian Independent Music chart and remained in the Top 20 for twenty weeks. âWonderlandâ also hit #15 on the Australian Top 50 Singles Chart and was on the chart for 13 weeks. Since then, a plethora of her songs have been included on The Saddle Clubâs highly popular soundtracks. âWonderlandâ has also been re-released by Mattelâs Barbie© in her albums Beyond Pink and Pool Party Mix Vol. 2.
Spreading Her Wings
In 2003 JACINTA was a musical consultant to Cirque du Soleilâs Alegria performances in Austin. That same year she did two tours in the Midwest region of the US performing as far north as Toronto Canada. More recently in 2005 she has appeared at numerous clubs in the Southeast area of the US, including Austin and Miami Florida. For three consecutive years she produced the music for Austinâs South by Southwest Interactive Web Awards and most recently at the Winter Music Conference received an IK Multimedia endorsement.
Release of First US Single
In 2005 JACINTA completed an extraordinary collection of uniquely original songs that serve as the basis for an album to be released in Spring 2006. Sunshine, her first US single, was released in September 2005 as a mega single with remixes by high profile chart-topping club DJ/Producers including Tony Moran, Warren Rigg, Johnny Budz and Peter Presta. Sunshine hit the number twenty position on the Billboard Dance Club chart in early 2006.
Jacinta's new album BACK TO GO - to be released in early 2007 - includes tracks cowritten with Tony Moran and Warren Rigg, Anton Bass, Ray Roc and David Anthony, and Mike Rizzo.
